A thoroughly ‘ice’ time had by families at Hampton Court Palace
Across two magical sessions, supported and bereaved families took to the ice to get into that festive feeling by enjoying ice skating at Hampton Court Palace. With twinkly lights and Christmas tunes aplenty, families took to the ice, with wheelchairs, buggies and penguins (to help those more unsteady on their feet) whizzing round the rink – much to the delight of all.

During the session an amazing ice sculpture of our Shooting Star logo was lovingly created – much to the admiration of all!

After skating, families were able to warm up with hot drinks and snacks and catch up with other families and some of the Shooting Star staff and volunteers.
Alex Rennie, Senior Corporate Relationship Manager shared, “We’re so grateful to Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink for generously providing a free skating session for our families, complete with a stunning ice sculpture and incredible figure skating display. Huge thanks also to Novacyt for funding the food and drink afterwards. It was such a special experience – a chance for families to relax, enjoy magical moments together and make wonderful memories.”
