Corporate Cup scores best year yet!

Forget the World Cup, Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub was the place to be for footie fans mid-June, as we hosted our third Shooting Star Corporate Cup!

160 people braved the wet conditions (hard to imagine given recent weather!) to take part in the tournament, which is a brilliant way to bring our corporate community together for a relaxed and fun afternoon to network, build connections and of course, take part in some friendly football competition. 

The rain cleared just in time for a first match to kick off, and going even bigger than previous years, 20 teams (including our very own Shooting Star team above!), competed in the group stages, after which four teams were ruthlessly eliminated. The remaining teams advanced to the knockout rounds, competing fiercely for both the Corporate Cup and our new Plate competition.

Corporate partners Ensono emerged victorious as our 2026 champions, and Premier Relocation became the firs ever winners of our coveted Plate competition. At the crowning ceremony hosted by our Chief Executive, Paul Farthing, both teams proudly collected their silverware and to the envy of the crowds, their new and exclusive branded Shooting Star Children’s Hospices football socks!

Our Cup champions, Ensono, declared, “We’ll be back next year to defend our title and donning our socks with pride!”
