Made in Chelsea stars visit Shooting Star

February 21, 2025

In the lead-up to the London Marathon, Made in Chelsea stars and friends, Jazz Saunders, Jules Pollard and Tristan Phipps visited Shooting Star House to meet supported families.

The trio’s visit comes as Jazz gets set to take on the iconic 26.2 run through the capital in aid of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

Despite it being a cold and rainy day, it was a very warm welcome to Jazz, Julia and Tristan, who took time to chat to families, learn more about the charity and take part in some fun activities including wind up character racing and helping to decorate a special cheer point banner for the big day.

After taking some photos with families, we asked Jazz about her visit and how she’s feeling ahead of running the London Marathon in April for Shooting Star.

“I’m really happy to be here and grateful and to meet the kids, the staff and everyone involved in this incredible charity. I’m here to find my purpose for running and being here in the flesh, it really puts everything into perspective. I feel like seeing everyone, the kids and staff be so happy, light and bubbly – it makes me realise if they can do it, so can I!

Jazz continues, “This is a first-time marathon for me – hopefully the first of many. I actually did a boot camp with Jules, and I think that was the start of a lifestyle change, because I’ve always been quite sporty, but this is just the start of getting fitter and healthier.

“My mum said why don’t you run the marathon? And I was like absolutely not, and then she mentioned Shooting Star and I was like absolutely yes – I will be doing it for them. I’m relying a lot of my friends to literally tell me to not stop running and I think on the day the adrenaline, meeting people and hearing about other people’s stories will help. And seeing the team at the cheer points will definitely keep me going, as well as the snacks! If things get tough and I can barely even continue running I will think of this day and hopefully more days in the future, to keep me going.”

Jules shared, “It’s amazing how positive everyone is, both Jazz and Tristan have said it, it’s such a nice happy place. You think it’s going to be really sad, but it’s been amazing and everyone’s so lovely.”

Tristan agrees, “I’ve found it incredibly humbling. Jazz mentioned the positive energy that is just abundant here. I wasn’t sure how to feel or what this kind of place would be, but it’s just a beautiful place for beautiful people. The children, parents and staff. It’s just a very positive, special place and obviously makes a lot of people incredibly happy, making very difficult times a lot easier. Its great to support such a fantastic cause and want to spread this message as far and wide as possible.”

Jazz is among the 53 strong team running in aid of Shooting Star this year. The London Marathon is the largest annual one-day fundraiser in the world. A hugely important event for us as a charity and we hope to raise as much as possible to ensure we can continue to provide our vital care to the families we support.

If Jazz has inspired you to take on your own challenge in aid of us, take a look at the wealth of wonderful opportunities we have coming up this year, and keep an eye out for Jazz’s marathon journey to donate!
