We’re winners!
This July, we attended the Richmond Business Awards, which is hosted by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. The event celebrates businesses across the borough and we are thrilled to announce that Shooting Star Children’s Hospices won Best Charity or Social Enterprise Award!
Our Chief Executive, Paul Farthing, Jess O’Leary and Georgia Kershaw, Nurses from our in-house care team, and Rumour Giles from our Corporate team were all in attendance to collect the award on behalf of the charity.
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices were recognised for the award for showing extraordinary resilience throughout the pandemic, ensuring we could still provide the vital care and support to families who needed us.
Anne Newton, Deputy Chair of London Chambers of Commerce and Chief Executive Richmond Chamber of Commerce said, “Congratulations to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices on their 2021 Richmond Business Award win at the Richmond Summer Ball on Friday 8 July at Twickenham Stadium. The independent 2021 Richmond Business Awards Judges Panel cited that Shooting Star Children’s Hospices demonstrated incredible resilience and adaptability to provide crucial support to families throughout the pandemic. The lessons they learnt during that challenging time are helping them to support even more families in our community. The judges were very impressed by the detail and passion that came across so clearly in this entry.”
The evening was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with many businesses in the borough and convey how grateful we are for their support as their local children’s hospice.
