Virtual Shine – Winter 2022

Our welcome for this edition of Shine comes from Miranda, who began volunteering with us last autumn assisting in the kitchen at our Guildford hospice. She now volunteers in our brand-new shop.
Miranda, volunteer

Welcome from Miranda

“I absolutely love volunteering at the Godalming shop and am very proud to be part of the fantastic team there. Every person who works or volunteers in the shop is so passionate about ensuring that all items we sell are top quality and we all take time to sift through all the generous donations, pricing, and steaming every item of clothing before putting it out to sell. The best compliment we get are the customer’s happy faces as they’re browsing and purchasing, often telling us what an immaculate and lovely shop it is! “It’s great to read about what’s been happening at the hospices over summer for families and hearing how people can support us by visiting our shops and giving donations. Reading Milan’s story really highlights the importance of our work and how through the support of readers, like you, we can continue to be there for families. I hope you enjoy reading this edition of Shine and look forward to welcoming you to Godalming soon!”
