One of our legendary corporate supporters, leading UK commercial interior specialist Fourfront Group, completed the Apprentice Challenge in February and raised over £34,000 for children with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
Staff from Fourfront split into teams and took over our charity shops in Weybridge, Whitton, Walton, Hampton Hill, Teddington and Twickenham on Friday 27th February, competing against each other to raise as much money as possible. As part of the Apprentice Challenge they sourced sponsorship for the event and fundraised prior to the big day, and thought up weird and wonderful ways to get local shoppers to dig deep during the shop-takeover.
There were raffles, auctions, bucket collections, face painting, mini manicures, cup cake sales and tombola, and each staff group chose a theme for their shop – which included Frozen, Alice in Wonderland, Champers & Glamour and Teddy Bears.
Also that week Fourfront Group’s CEO, Clive Lucking, and his Board of Directors James Cornwell, Aki Stamatis and Nigel Hudson all volunteered themselves for a pie throwing contest, where Fourfront staff paid £10 to pie their bosses, which raised over £300. James also cycled the route of all the shops on Friday to raise further funds.
The Twickenham shop takeover won the Apprentice Challenge – they raised over £10,600!
Thank you to the Fourfront Group for all their amazing fundraising work!
