Sunrise Walk – Guildford
We are so excited to welcome you back to our Guildford Sunrise Walk this weekend.
For those of you joining us, please don’t forget that we are asking ALL participants to provide proof of a negative lateral flow test before entering the event village. Please ensure you take the test no earlier than 24 hours ahead of arriving onsite for the event on Sunday 17th October. You can order your free lateral flow test kits here or pick them up from your local pharmacy. You MUST register your result with the NHS and provide proof of the negative result either by showing the text or email response received.
We are asking all participants to bring their own water bottles this year which can be refilled at either refreshment point at St Martha’s (both routes) and Loseley (20km route). There will be limited water onsite at the event village so we do ask that you bring your water bottles filled and ready to walk with.
WEATHER & KIT
As you know, the British weather can be incredibly unpredictable and has been changing on a daily basis ahead of Sunday so please do check and come dressed appropriately. We want to be able to see your Sunrise Walk T-shirts but appreciate it may be a little chilly first thing. Please ensure you have your walker number visible at all times
For those Sunrise Walk veterans, you’ll know we don’t normally require torches for the start of the walk. This year is different with the event being so much later in the year and it is likely to be dark both on arrival and for the start of the walk. We therefore advise ALL walkers to being either a head, body or hand held torch.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY ON THE DAY REGISTRATIONS THIS YEAR.
If you need any more information about the event or help with your fundraising please do not hesitate to contact the Challenge Events team firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01483 230960.
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices would like to say a huge thank you to corporate partners, Charles Stanley for their support of this year’s Sunrise Walk T-shirts.
