Britain’s Got Talent finalist Tom Ball visits Christopher’s
Our Guildford hospice, Christopher’s was filled with fun and excitement this week as we welcomed Britain’s Got Talent finalist Tom Ball and his fiancée Hannah to meet some supported children and their families.
Tom, won the hearts of the nation during the recent series of the much-loved talent show, reaching the final. He wowed audiences with his performances of hits including Writing on the Wall by Sam Smith and Rise Like a Phoenix by Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst.
Tom also dueted with Patron Michael Ball at the London Palladium in aid of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices this summer.
Tom and Hannah, a Paediatric Nurse, spent time talking to the families and took part in some Britain’s Got Talent inspired activities, including poster making and decorating star shaped cookies.
Tom Ball said of his visit, “I absolutely loved my visit to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. It was a really positive, kind, and friendly environment with lots of laughing, smiley faces. It was so lovely to meet and chat to the parents and children and to take part in creating some Britain’s Got Talent posters, as well as the cookies – which were very tasty! I’m very much looking forward to visiting the West London hospice, Shooting Star House later in the year and plan to spend time with the music therapy team – perhaps we can do something with The Greatest Showman!”
Karen Sugarman MBE, Executive Vice-President at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said, “It was wonderful to welcome Tom and Hannah. The families really enjoyed the visit. We are very grateful that Tom took the time from his busy schedule to be with us and we very much look forward to welcoming him back later in the year to our West London hospice.”
