Queen of the Jungle and Chelsea, Georgia Toffolo visits Christopher’s

August 11, 2022

Queen of the Jungle and Made in Chelsea fan favourite Georgia Toffolo enjoyed a wonderful afternoon chatting to children, young people and families at our Guildford hospice, Christopher’s this week.

Georgia, affectionately known as ‘Toff’ joined in with some fun activities suitable for a queen of the jungle including creating crowns, constructing insect houses, and decorating our always popular star shaped shortbread biscuits.

Georgia regaled younger fans with her experiences in the I’m a Celebrity jungle and revealed some behind the scenes secrets about filming the show. She signed autographs and posed for photos, and spent time listening to the personal stories of some of our bereaved families, and hearing about the ways Shooting Star Children’s Hospices supports them.

Georgia Toffolo said of the visit, “I’ve found my visit to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices as one of the most special and amazing experiences I’ve ever had. The families and children that I met today are pretty something. I was a little anxious before I came here because when you think about hospices, you think about incredibly sad things but what I’ve seen today is what Shooting Star Children’s Hospices does – it brings a bit of light to families that are really in the darkness.

“There is this extraordinary relationship between the people that work here and the families and children. Some of the things I’ve heard about the staff is really incredible, and I think for them to have a little part in making things better for people who need it, is really special.”

Karen Sugarman MBE, Executive Vice-President at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said, “It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Georgia to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. She loved every minute and was so very interested in chatting to the families and spending quality time with them. Georgia shared how she heard nothing but praise from the families about our staff – which is wonderful to hear.”
