Zena Fowers, Stock and Distributions Manager for Shooting Star Chase has gone to hair-raising levels for the charity she’s worked at for 2 years.

After sporting her beloved dreadlocks for over 15 years, Zena decided to shred the dreads in order to raise some money to help the life-limited children and families Shooting Star Chase supports. Watch her transformation here! Zena dreadlocks cut off“15 years of having dreadlocks and countless times of eating them, dipping them in coffee and trapping them in-between boxes, I decided they had to go. Working for Shooting Star Chase I just knew it would be a great opportunity to raise some vital funds!” explains Zena.

The dreaded moment arrived on Tuesday 3 April as an audience gathered at Shooting Star Chase’s Head Office in Addlestone to witness the brave transformation. Zena dreadlocks cut off Acting CEO Piers Vimpany opened proceedings, being the first to make the cut, before Zena was handed over to a safer pair of hands as Michael, owner of Hampton Hill based salon Bannon’s, gave his time and expertise to work his magic on her hair.Zena dreadlocks cut off Still counting and collecting donations, Zena has already smashed her target of £515, now nearly at £700 and hopes to raise even more!Zena dreadlocks cut off
