Stars shine at The Shooting Star Ball
On Saturday 22 November, 300 guests gathered at The Royal Lancaster Hotel for an unforgettable evening at The Shooting Star Ball, raising vital funds for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
Celebrating its 21st year, this year’s guest host, beloved comedian and winner of The Celebrity Traitors, Alan Carr, delivered his trademark comedy and wit throughout the evening.
There was a fantastic surprise performance from Incognito Artists, who tricked all the guests into thinking they were hotel staff, before revealing themselves to perform a medley from Abba to West End musicals. Guests ended the evening dancing the night away to special guests, The Rick Parfitt Jr band.
Among the star-studded supporters were our Vice-President Dame Joan Collins DBE, Dame Maureen Lipman DBE, Brenda Blethyn OBE, Michelle Collins, Julie Forsyth, Neil Pearson and Jeff Rawle.
Guests enjoyed a delicious three-course ‘winter-warmer’ dinner before bidding on exclusive prizes in a thrilling auction led by Bargain Hunt’s, Charlie Ross. Lucky bidders had the chance to win some very exclusive lots including dinner at London’s Annabel’s with Vice-President Dame Joan Collins, an exclusive Britain’s Got Talent VIP prize as personal guests of Vice-President Simon Cowell and a private performance with Vice-President Tony Hadley MBE, to name a few.
