Our Santa’s Grotto brings festive magic to Shooting Star House

December 19, 2025

The elves had been busy behind the scenes, wrapping presents and transforming Shooting Star House into a sparkling winter wonderland. From twinkling fairy lights to festive decorations adorning every corner, the stage was set for the most magical of arrivals, Santa himself!

Over two joyful days, Santa welcomed children and their families into his grotto, creating treasured memories and listening to their Christmas wishes. Each child left with a special gift, a smile, and a story to tell. Some little ones bounded in with excitement, others approached with a touch of shyness, but all shared in the wonder of meeting Santa.

The atmosphere throughout Shooting Star House was filled with festive cheer. Families gathered to enjoy hot drinks, snacks and seasonal treats while Christmas films played in the background. Craft tables buzzed with creativity as children made ornaments, cards, woolly Christmas trees, gingerbread‑decorated gift bags, stars, and paper chains, each piece adding to the magic of the season.

With the winter sun shining, children also enjoyed time in the garden, running, playing and even popping back into the grotto for an extra wave or chat with Santa.

For many, it was their first Shooting Star Grotto experience, a celebration of joy, togetherness, and the spirit of Christmas. Our Events Assistant, Hilary Pearce reflected on the festive magic: “It was just a joy to share such happy moments with our very special families.”
