Can you make it capital to capital?
A route like no other, crossing hundreds of miles of countryside, rolling hills, starting and finishing in two iconic capitals. From the 21st – 25th of July 2027 you could take on over 300 miles on two wheels, exploring two beautiful countries. From London to Dover, across the channel to Calais, through quiet French lanes and down the Champs Elysées to a grand finish at the Eiffel Tower. This is a journey you will remember forever.
Your hard work will be rewarded with stunning scenery and an immense sense of achievement. Most importantly, you will ride knowing you’re supporting families with a baby, child or young-person with a life-limited condition, or have been bereaved, across west London and Surrey. As if crossing the finish line wasn’t enough, the following day you’ll have the chance to watch the professionals take on the last stage of the race, through Paris, soaking up the unforgettable atmosphere of this iconic sporting event!

The Grand Depart 2027 FAQs
Yes, the more the merrier! However, each person will need to sign up separately and reach their own individual fundraising goal.
It will not be a closed roads route. Most of the roads are fairly quite but you should be confident riding on roads with traffic, as we cannot predict the exact conditions.
We will endeavour to follow the route as closely as possible, but any deviations for safety or respect to race organisation will be taken.
The Discover Adventure team will organise transport from Carlisle back to Edinburgh, after your day of cycling.
Road bikes will be most suitable. E-bikes and other, heavier bikes are allowed, if you let the Discover Adventure team aware in advance.
No, you must make your own arrangements to and from Edinburgh. You must be responsible of bringing your own bike and equipment to the meeting point.
A full kit list will be provided upon registration. You must provide your own bike.
