Distribution Centre Volunteer
Role Purpose
This role is an essential part of the retail section of the charity to maximise sales by ensuring that the stock is in the right place at the right time.
Distribution Centre Volunteers help to lift, shift, sort and sift donations so that they can be distributed to our shops.
Applicants must be 16+

Location:
Unit 2B, Lansbury Business Estate, 102 Lower Guildford Road, Knaphill, Woking GU21 2EP
Time:
4 + hours, flexible between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Duties and key responsibilities
- Sorting, identifying and preparing good quality items to be distributed to our shops.
- Organise stock in a timely and logical manner ensuring care is taken to minimise damages.

- With training, identify items that may be suitable for alternative recycling revenue streams.
- Comply with manual handling and Health and Safety requirements to ensure own safety and that of colleagues.
Essential skills and experience
- Interest in clothes, and all manner of other goods!
- Reasonable level of fitness to be able to stand, lift and move items with ease.
- Reliable.
- Enthusiastic and Cheerful.
- Attention to detail.
- Quick worker.
- Enjoy working as a part of a team.
