Hospitality Support Volunteer
This role is to support the Facilities Team in maintaining clean, welcoming, and well-stocked hospitality areas at Shooting Star House, ensuring families, visitors, volunteers, and staff have access to refreshments in a safe and hygienic environment. Scroll down for more details.

Location:
Shooting Star House, The Avenue, Hampton TW12 3RA
Time:
Hours flexible – twice a week for a couple of hours each time with one shift ideally on a Thursday 1.30pm-3.30pm
Roles and responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across hospitality and refreshment areas.
- Keep kitchen and beverage stations clean, tidy, and organised.
- Monitor and replenish supplies such as tea, coffee, milk, snacks, and related consumables.
- Check stock levels and expiry dates, particularly refrigerated items.
- Support infection prevention and hygiene standards within hospitality areas.
- Assist with preparing for internal events when required.
- Report any maintenance, stock, or hygiene concerns to the Facilities Team.
Essential skills and experience
- Reliable and proactive with a willingness to take initiative.
- Understanding of good hygiene and infection control practices.
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable moving around the hospice to carry out light stocking and replenishment duties.
- Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Understands and maintains appropriate personal and professional boundaries.
