Lovely time for Lily at Legoland

Supported child Lily and mum Tamara built some lovely memories last month as they enjoyed a special trip to Legoland Windsor.

The trip was possible thanks to Merlin’s Magic Wand, an international children’s charity who provide magical experiences for children who need it most.

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices has access to tickets for the families we support, where they can visit a number of attractions including Chessington World of Adventures, Legoland Windsor, Thorpe Park, Sea Life London Aquarium, Sea Life Brighton, The Bear Grylls Adventure and Madame Tussauds London.

Not only do they supply the tickets but also provide help with parking, travel and special access to rides and behind the scenes experiences.

Lily’s mum Tamara shared how much they enjoyed their day out, “Lily and I had an amazing time at Legoland. When the time came to leave, she really didn’t want to. We saw so much and she even went in the water park and had brilliant fun getting soaking wet, prompting a change of t-shirt to spare cardigan and the emergency purchase of a Lego Friends blanket! A huge thank you to everyone at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices for the tickets!”

Thanks to the support from Merlin’s Magic Wand we’re able to offer each family we support, one visit to one of Merlin’s amazing attraction per year.
