We’re excited to offer a range of adventure challenges through our trusted partners, Discover Adventure, Charity Challenge and Global Adventures. Whether you’re a keen trekker, enthusiastic cyclist or simply looking for your next big goal, there’s an experience to suit every level of adventurer. Every mile you walk, pedal or climb will help support families across south-west London, north-west London and Surrey who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have experienced the death of a child. Conquer the National Three Peaks Challenge
4 to 6 July 2027 (other dates available)
Take on one of the UK’s most iconic endurance challenges and summit the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
Over two days of trekking, you’ll cover approximately 26 miles and ascend nearly 3,000 metres, supported every step of the way by the Charity Challenge and Shooting Star teams. It’s tough, rewarding and guaranteed to leave you with a huge sense of achievement.
Ride the Tour de France route before the professionals
The Grand Départ
30 June to 2 July 2027
In 2027, the Tour de France starts in Edinburgh, and you could be riding part of the route just one day before the professionals. Cycle an incredible 120 miles through stunning Scottish and northern English countryside, tackling rolling climbs and breathtaking scenery before returning to Edinburgh to soak up the atmosphere as the world’s best cyclists begin their race.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience combines an incredible sporting challenge with the opportunity to support families who need our care.
The Grand Depart 2027 – Shooting Star Children’s Hospices
Cycle from London to Paris
21 to 25 July 2027 (other dates available)
Experience an unforgettable journey from one iconic capital city to another. Over four days in the saddle, you’ll travel from London through Kent and Dover, cross the Channel to France and ride through picturesque villages, rolling countryside and historic landmarks. Your challenge culminates with a spectacular finish beneath the Eiffel Tower.
As an added bonus, participants on these dates will also have the opportunity to watch the final stage of the Tour de France in Paris.

Trek the Great Wall of China
18 to 26 September 2027 (other dates available)
Step onto one of the world’s most famous landmarks and challenge yourself across 50km of the Great Wall of China. Following ancient pathways through the Yan Mountains, you’ll navigate thousands of uneven steps, tackle the famous Heavenly Staircase and enjoy spectacular views along the way. After completing the trek, you’ll have time to explore Beijing and discover the rich history and culture of China’s capital city.

Walk the Camino de Santiago
8 to 12 October 2027 (other dates available)
Discover the magic of one of the world’s most renowned pilgrimage routes. This inspiring challenge takes you along the final 67km of the Camino Francés, winding through beautiful woodland, traditional villages and rolling countryside before finishing in the historic city of Santiago de Compostela.
It’s an opportunity to reflect, reconnect and achieve something extraordinary while supporting local families through every step of the journey.

Cross the Sahara Desert
6 to 13 November 2027 (other dates available)
Looking for the ultimate adventure? This demanding five-day trek covers 100km through Morocco’s dramatic desert landscapes, including rocky terrain, sand dunes, mountain passes and remote oases. You’ll spend nights under star-filled skies and experience a side of the world few people ever get to see.
While challenging, the rewards are unforgettable: spectacular scenery, incredible camaraderie and a tremendous sense of accomplishment.
