Christopher’s celebrates 20 years

On 21st November 2001, Christopher’s, our Guildford children’s hospice, first opened its doors. To commemorate it’s 20th anniversary, staff and children who have been staying at Christopher’s this week held a little celebration to mark the occasion.

Five-year-old Hadi has Spinal Muscular Atrophy type one, the severest form of a rare genetic condition that causes muscle weakness. “His life expectancy at first was no more than six months, but against all odds he’s reached the age of five,” said mum Sanaa.
